Dit jaar zal een speciale uitgave van de inmiddels vermaarde Wonderware Conference in de Benelux zijn.

In 2012 is het 25 jaar geleden dat InTouch, het eerste product van Wonderware, het levenslicht zag. Een product dat in tegenstelling tot alle andere SCADA systemen nog steeds leverbaar is en dat in die 25 jaar is doorgegroeid tot de absolute marktleider in de SCADA en HMI markt (ARC report 2011).

Zoals u van ons gewend bent houden we onze Nederlandstalige conference het ene jaar in België en het andere jaar in Nederland. In 2012 zal de Nederlandstalige conference plaatsvinden in Slot Loevestein in Poederoijen Nederland. Een prachtige historische locatie, de perfecte basis voor wat een historische conference belooft te worden.

Wat mag u dit jaar van ons verwachten?

Naar jaarlijkse gewoonte is de conference verspreid over 3 dagen. 8 februari 2012 is exclusief voor eindgebruikers, de pers en onze sponsoren. Gedurende deze dag zal de nadruk liggen op het uitwisselen van ervaringen. Projecten van eindklanten gaande van HMI/SCADA toepassingen tot MES implementaties zullen gepresenteerd worden.

Op 9 februari 2012 is er meer aandacht voor de techniek voor System Integratoren en geïnteresseerde eindklanten. Op 15 februari 2012 vindt de franstalige conference plaats.

Op de agenda voor deze 2 dagen staan onder andere de volgende onderwerpen:

• Implementatie van Wonderware SCADA en Historian op basis van System Platform bij Pepsico (voorheen Smiths Food Group, producent van chips)
• Automatisering van verbrandingsovens bij ISVAG (Intercommunale voor Slib- en Vuilverwijdering)
• Integratie van de administratieve omgeving (Exact) met Wonderware System Platform bij HocoRST (bewerking van staalwalsen voor o.a. Tata Steel in Ijmuiden)
• Uitrollen van standaarden bij Nestlé Nutrition in Nunspeet (producent van kindervoeding)
• OEE implementatie: we laten een TPM black belt aan het woord die u laat zien hoe OEE eenvoudig, snel en goedkoop in uw productie is te implementeren.
• Ook zullen we uitgebreid ingaan op de nieuwste ontwikkelingen binnen Wonderware, staan we stil bij virtualisering op basis van VMWare en HyperV en komen de Manufacturing Intelligence en Workflow oplossingen aan de orde.

As the first major HMI software offering to begin running on Microsoft Windows more than 20 years ago, the company’s Wonderware brand has been synonymous with continuous innovation and ease of use. Over this long history, the ARC Advisory Group’s HMI software and services study has consistently listed the Wonderware brand as one of the top market share leaders. In the 2011 ARC report, which covers the 2010 calendar year, Invensys Operations Management outpaced market growth and increased its percentage lead over its nearest competitor.

The ARC report said in part that to further its real-time enterprise control strategy, Invensys has released several extensible HMI components for supervisory and SCADA users, as well as a number of industry-focused solutions, including ArchestrA Workflow, that enable systems designers to implement prototypes and real-world applications. These and a number of other key aspects of the ArchestrA technology architecture differentiate Invensys Operations Management. The ability to configure a complete level-2 (control visualization) and level-3 (production visualization) solution with a single namespace means that intercommunication is intrinsic and integration with higher-level systems is simplified. And because they are open and extensible, the company’s external systems can be rapidly integrated into practically any other application.

According to Craig Resnick, research director for ARC Advisory Group and author of the recent study, “Invensys Operations Management has a multi-faceted strategy to enhance its market position, as well as to further its InFusion enterprise control system concept. The company continues to update its Wonderware InTouch and ArchestrA System Platform product lines and is placing strategic emphasis on the SCADA and geo-SCADA arena, which is reflected in the functionality delivered by the latest release of its software products.”

“By being object–oriented, ArchestrA System Platform enables end users to pilot applications, and due to the scalability of its architecture, they can grow these pilots into large-scale implementations with minimal re-engineering. Managing standards and change is also inherent to the architecture, so an HMI software application, or even just an element of the application, can be changed once and rolled out to multiple end users, helping end users achieve real-time business optimization,” Resnick said.

Eind 2010 bereikten we de limiet van het mogelijke binnen het oude pand aan de Konijnenberg in Breda. Gebaseerd op de behaalde resultaten en de vooruitzichten voor de komende jaren hebben we ervoor gekozen een compleet nieuw pand te bouwen op het bedrijventerrein Minervum, aan de A27 in Breda. En dat pand is nu klaar!

Deze conferentie, waar elk jaar ongeveer 300 eindgebruikers, partners en systeem integratoren aanwezig zijn, is inmiddels uitgegroeid tot een niet te missen evenement.
